The practice as a patent attorney comprises patent prosecution and litigation in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technology.
Alexander Wunsch has handled a large number of German and European patent applications, particularly in the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technology sectors. A current highlight is the successful enforcement of several patents for fire extinguishing equipment with a team of the firm’s patent attorneys and attorneys-at-law in patent infringement proceedings before Düsseldorf District Court. Alexander Wunsch was also a member of the team that successfully defended a US client against a patent in the field of digital image processing. In addition, he defended a client with global operations against a challenge arising from a patent for forklift trucks. A further highlight was the reinstatement of a patent from the packaging industry, which had been declared invalid, following proceedings before the German Federal Supreme Court.
