The technical specialization encompasses all fields of electrical engineering, information technology, telecommunication, signal processing and cryptography. The practice is focused on patent prosecution and opposition proceedings before the patent offices as well as invalidation proceedings before the Federal Patent Court. Yiming Sun is also regularly participating with teams of attorneys of Bardehle Pagenberg in patent infringement proceedings before the German District Courts, concerning matters of mobile phones, MP3 players, navigation devices, etc.

Because of his academic education in China and his native language Chinese, Yiming Sun is also regularly involved in complex multi-national patent litigations that often require close coordination with parallel proceedings in China.
