Advice and litigation in trademark, design, copyright and unfair competition matters, and domain names, licensing and distribution matters.

Stefan Abel’s clients include an international French manufacturer of leather goods and accessories in a series of counterfeit and piracy cases and a US manufacturer of medical devices in a series of parallel import cases in a number of European countries. He also advises a popular television station and several film production companies in the fields of trademark and unfair competition law as well as in copyright matters.

Stefan Abel serves as a panellist in domain name arbitration proceedings at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva. He also lectures at the University of Strasbourg's Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) and regularly publishes articles relating to his fields of practice (see publications).

Stefan Abel was nominated for the 2008 International IP Award by IP publisher informa and is individually recommended in JUVE German Commercial Law Firms 2009/2010 - "very good and reasoned" (peer quote).
